Sky Talk is the company’s telephone service which is on offer to customers at a range of prices. If you want to switch to Sky Talk, they will talk to your current provider for you in order to make the process simple and painless.
Sky offers three types of deals for customers who want to use their telephone services.
There is a Sky Talk Weekends package that includes weekend calls to landlines in the United Kingdom. The calls must not exceed an hour in length and can only be made to 01, 02, 03 and 0870 numbers.
There is also a Sky Talk Anytime offer that is the cheapest amount per month and allows for unlimited calls to UK landlines as well as 0845 and 0870 numbers. It does not include phone calls to the Channel Islands.
If you make a lot of calls outside of the United Kingdom, you may want to look into the Sky Talk Anytime International deal. This cost slightly more per month and provides unlimited calls to landlines in over 50 different countries including the USA, Canada and France. The full list of locations that this offer extends to can be found on the official Sky website.
You will need line rental to use Sky Talk. Customers who wish to join Sky Talk must agree to a 12 month minimum term too.
Switching from BT, TalkTalk, PlusNet and Virgin Media is simple. It will only take two weeks from the date you placed an order with Sky for telephone services to switch on. There will only be a short loss of services for between five and twenty minutes while the switch takes place. You can also continue to use the phone number you had with another provider.
If you are currently waiting to switch to Sky Talk, you can track the process of your order by logging into the Sky website with your Sky ID.
